Internet Fraud

Firstly, I'm innocent. I'm 18 as is this girl I know. Her debit card is on a joint account with her mother because she was 17 when she got the debit card, it was in her moms name. All the money in the account was this girl's. She wanted me to book a hotel and she read me the numbers over the phone and I submitted it to best western. The next day SHE and only SHE went into best western and signed the papers. Did I commit debit card fraud? Is this a felony (virginia) or a misdemeanor since the charges are less than $100 dollars? What is the investigation process like?

If she gave you permission to do so then no. Did you state you were the girl? If she signed the papers and not you then she has taken responceability for the charge. Your fine.

If she gave you thr numbers, and number on back of card, then she gave you permission
