fraud prevention Question And Answer
Are you aware of the latest credit card scam?
They call you and tell you they are fraud prevention for your credit card company, ask for your pin on the back of your card and say that a company has taken money out of your credit card account and that they are "fixing" it. If you get this call, tell you will call your company right away and see what's going on. Don't give them any info at all.
Answers
yes, thanks..
Yes... got an email about that last year. I never give out info over the phone.. even if Caller ID says it is from your company - it can be faked and not very hard to do either.
thanks - people really need to realise to never give info. over the phone - ask for it in writing - or hang up and call the company yourself
nO i HAVEN'T...Thanks I will pass the word on
No
Why would they ask for your security code? Does anybody really believe that they don't know that no? They validate your information when you contact them. You should return that favor.
Really, Unfortunately I have no money on any credit cards, but thanks for the heads up.
thanks for the info.
Thanks for the info. I am amazed nearly every time I am on here, how many people constantly are asking questions about if this type of thing is a scam. I was taught not to give out personal information by my parents when I was very young, and it was also talked about in school, so I have never given out information over the phone or the Internet. Have a good night!
hey, thanks for sharing this :)
