internet scams Question And Answer
Are people still fooled by these Internet scams? If not, then why do we get spams repeatedly?
I think most Internet users are aware of such spams etc. But still many of us receive spams and we simply block/delete those emails.
Why do these scamsters send spams when people are aware of their evil designs?

idk people are stupid and i think they sould stop!!
All they need is one in a few hundred thousand to make money. You're right, though, it's amazing that anyone still falls for it.
Because there is a sucker born every minute.
"There's a sucker born every minute" (Can't remember who originally said this...).
Additional info....I researched who said that and it wasn't PT Barnum as many people think, it was his competitor David Hannum. It's an interesting story. Check out the link below.
because if some newbie does not understand this they get caught. It only takes a tiny, tiny percentage of those e-mailed to make it worth while.
You are mistaken. MOST people ARE fooled.
Do a search here at yahoo answers and you will see how many fools have asked.
"Is this a legitimate email that says I won a million dollars?"
It's hilarious how many people are so naive and uneducated where the internet is concerned. The spammers and scammers LOVE the uneducated masses of people on the net daily!
you get repeated spams because over 85% of the country believe in GOD. You cant see, hear or TOUCH it, yet STILL people believe in it. As such, one can assume that people are ALSO STUPID ENOUGH to open spam DESPITE knowing better than to BELIEVE IN THEM. People are dumb and are given too much credit based on their ability to form written and verbal language. Thats why Mensa only accepts 3% of the population, because most people, are dumb ass animals who cant even spell or use proper grammar. I mean, how many IDIOTS online and in "real life" do you realize CANT EVEN SPELL the words "no one" theyre so damn stupid that they believe its ONE WORD and spell it "noone" I mean, jesus it makes me feel so sad to be reminded of peoples low IQs.
I hope they all know it may cost them their computers.
Yes, there are still people stupid enough to fall for all kinds of scams. Nobody ever went broke by underestimating the intelligence of the general public.
Considering how many times a day people come on Answers wanting to know if they are a scam, or want to know how to find information on the fictional people in the scams, apparently there are still people out there who believe them. And they are allowed to own computers. Scary isn't it?
They send them because there are people out there who are still new to the internet. Also, some of the spams are now looks so authentic that people might think they are real.
Scammers work on the principle that some people are desperate for money and that these people will take a chance when they see an email offering them money and reply to the email. They also work on volume. They might send out thousands and they may know that most of it will be deleted, but it only takes a dozen replies to make it worthwhile.
The saying that "There is a sucker born every minute" is true. None of us like to think we are suckers, but clever scams can fool even the best of us - especially when we are vulnerable - when we are down on our luck financially.
Yes indeed!!!...Believe THAT...BUT, some are paid per delivered address..
