internet scams Question And Answer

internet scams including UK National lottery?

I believe that i have been a victim of an internet scam. I recieved an email stating that I had won a lottery and to contact the fiduciary agent. Who or what agency can I report this to? I have lost approx $1500 in this scam and i am quite irritated. Any suggestions on how to go about correcting this and insuring that others do not get scammed by this. Any suggestions other that I was an idiot..... I already have figured out that one.

Take it to the police, including all correspondence.
i was also scammed! go to this site it will help u out! these people send out thousands of emails a day to people!
First of all never read emails from people you do not know and never give out personal information or money online. I think you could report this to your local police station but you will most likely not get your money back.
http://www.ic3.gov/ FBI ??? this appears to be an agency linked with the FBI
This scam has been going around for a long period of time, i am sure the police even the government know about this! But i dont know why they don't take any action!
If you have not entered a lottery, then how can you have won it? If you get anything in the future that says you have won a prize and then asks you for money, don't respond. You can also check emails against the ones in the link. It is a website with loads of scam emails that people have been sent.
