mail scams Question And Answer
How do I report illegal e-mail scams that get sent to me?
Answers
for this u just need to click on spam button. nothing else.
You cannot unless you are a victim. I have tried to report the scam from Nigeria that says they will pay me to use my account to put 20 million bucks into but the police say their is really nothing they can do about e-mail scams.

you have to go to spam guard and turn it on, set all of the blocks on that you want, and it will put it directly into your bulk folder.
report it to www.fraudwatchinternational.com and they will check it out. You can also research to see if it is something that has already been making the rounds.

A place to report is there.
When you open the e-mail scam click on Spam. It'll report the scam to Yahoo!
For some scams the best thing you can do is ignore them.
If the scam relates to a well known website, then you can look up contact info on the site, and sometimes they'll have a Report Abuse web page where you can fill out a form. For example eBay and PayPal both have something like this, since popular services like this are always targets. Bad people will send fake emails pretending they are from the company, along with fake websites trying to get you to log in so they can get your password. DEFINITELY report activity like this.
Also if there is a return address on the email (and they didn't fake it) you might be able to report them to commonly-used addresses. Take the part after the @ in the email address and add to the front something like...
postmaster@example.com
webmaster@example.com
admin@example.com
abuse@example.com
Even if the address doesn't exist, the email will just bounce.
Or, if you want to fight back, I remember reading about a guy who pretended to respond to the Nigeria scheme. He told the guy he sent the money and actually got him to take several trips to the Western Union office and even get into an argument with the manager.
It was amusing reading but I would not recommend playing around like that. Consider that these people are thieves and have little moral chacter as they make their livelihood stealing from gullible people. The last thing you want to do is become their target.
